I'm Katie Gillespie — and yes, Hawthorne Insurance Advisors is just me.

After a 25+ year career in experience design with tech companies here in the Pacific Northwest, I made a deliberate pivot: I became a Medicare broker. I spent decades researching what people actually need and designing solutions to fit. Now I apply those skills to one of the most consequential decisions you'll face — your healthcare coverage.

I live in SE Portland with my husband and two sons, and and we love our neighborhood for its quirks and walkability. I still play the great sport of Ultimate Frisbee and help out with my sons’ local teams. I’m also on the board of the Portland chapter of CISV — a nonprofit that builds global peace through friendship and mutual understanding.

Helping seniors navigate Medicare is just the next chapter in that same story of showing up for my community.
